The Membership Ministry area of Arvada Presbyterian Church is devoted to developing relationships. Relationships are developed with each other and with God through the love of Jesus Christ in worship, prayer, activities, small groups, and service to the church and community. All who come are welcome, all are loved, and all are family.
We believe that membership in a church such as Arvada Presbyterian transforms each of us, through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the love of God. Understanding that being part of the body of Christ makes us better, more joyful people, we desire that the body of Christ would grow, as we follow Jesus' command to go and make disciples. We believe that when a group of broken, flawed saints is joined together in the mystery of Spirit, a holy synergy takes place: Together as a body of Christ we become much more than the sum of what we were individually. Our individual lives become brighter and more abundant, as Jesus promised. Love overflows into a thirsty world. We believe that when we enter into membership in such a church, the place where we are standing becomes holy ground. It's natural then that we want to share this abundance with others, especially those without a church home. So we reach out into the community and invite others to, through the Spirit, become part of this body. And if we offer Christ's love, not our own, we can be sure that visitors will feel welcome and will be drawn to participate in the miracle of the church. And so the body of Christ will grow.
Fellowship - Small Groups
Fellowship groups abound at Arvada Presbyterian Church: Presbyterian Women, men's breakfast fellowship, a widows/widowers group, a group for retired families and friends, a recreation fellowship group, a knitting group, a book club, a group for families with young children. Where interest is identified, a small group can be formed.
