Seeking to learn, experience and proclaim the peace of Christ as the Lord leads us
We plan to carry out this mission and these values during the next five years in the following ways:
Worship & Music
Worship at Arvada Presbyterian Church seeks to be Christ-centered and stays close to Biblical text while being responsive to current events in the world and the life of our congregation. These services take place on various weekdays as well as on Sunday and each service has its distinctive approach to style and music.
Membership
We help members and visitors become connected through new relationships, activities and ministries of the church - exploring spiritual gifts, talents, passions and a sense of Christ's call.
Mission and Peacemaking
APC is active in reaching out to the community - whether locally working with Habitat for Humanity, out of state with mission trips to flood-ravaged Cedar Rapids, or as far away as rural Zimbabwe, where we support a medical clinic serving the impoverished.
Administration & Support
By the grace of God, APC is over 100 years old and going strong. Along with God's grace, however, a church needs strong administrative leadership and skills. And APC is blessed with a number of wise and discerning disciples who help guide us forward, maintain our building and grounds, lead our stewardship campaigns and generally encourage the health and growth of this body of Christ.
Personnel Ministry Team
This team of disciples provides nurture and support for all members of APC's paid staff. These volunteers align job descriptions and adjust staff to appropriately carry out our vision. They recommend salaries, support an evaluation process and hire staff as necessary. The Personnel Ministry Team works closely with Session (a team of ruling elders) in fulfilling personnel responsibilities.
The Board of Deacons
Deacons are elected officers, and are the helping hands of APC. By God's grace, APC's Deacons demonstrate sympathy, witness and service, after the example of Jesus Christ, to the congregation and the community.
