Christ Caring for People Through People
The Stephen Ministry is a program that allows lay individuals to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to those experiencing difficulties in their lives. The program is offered to both APC members as well as non-members in the community.
With more than 50 hours of training in listening and communications, Stephen Ministers support individuals who are hurting through caring relationships.
The Stephen Ministry allows gifted lay people to work with our pastors to reach more people with Christian care than the pastors could provide by themselves. In 2005, APC had 8 active leaders and 9 active ministers to serve people in need of support.
